Butler Lil' Tornados Traveling Football Organization
Welcome to the internet home of the Butler Lil' Tornados Travelling Football Organization! We are excited to offer your son the opportunity to learn, practice and play the game of football, and your daughter the opportunity to learn, practice and perform athletic cheerleading on a traveling team. One of the most important aspects of this new opportunity will be their opportunity to develop personal moral character that will promote their future success both on and off the field of play for the rest of their lives. We have tried to provide answers to some common general questions below. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email us at your convenience.
WHO RUNS THE ORGANIZATION? The organization is run by the Executive Team and Membership. Please see our By-Laws posted below.
OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM IS:
CAN PARENTS BE INVOLVED? Though the Butler Lil’ Tornados Traveling Football Organization is a program of Grace Youth and Family Foundation, it operates as a community membership organization. Therefore we strongly encourage the involvement of moms, dads and the entire family. Anyone who has direct contact with children must have a criminal background and child abuse history clearance completed. Mothers and fathers can coach within the organization, but they can not directly coach their own children. Please review our Coach’s Creed and Coach’s Application posted below.
HOW LONG IS THE SEASON? Regular Season runs July 26 through October 9th
WHEN WILL WE PRACTICE? Weeks 1 - 3 July 26th through Aug 13th Monday - Friday 6:00 to 8:00 PM
WHERE WILL WE PRACTICE? High Field Baseball Association 235 Highfield Road Butler, PA 16001
WHEN ARE OUR GAMES? Games will be held Mainly Saturdays and possibly on a Sunday. See our game schedule that is posted below.
WHERE ARE OUR GAMES PLAYED? Games are played at the field of specified by each UYFL League Team. Directions will be provided in advance of each game for the location of each field.
ARE THERE WEIGHT LIMITS? There is no minimum weight requirement. The Maximum weights are:
OUR THEIR TRYOUTS? There are no tryouts. All players and cheerleaders make the team.
TRANSPORTATION? Please see your team’s Head Coach about transportation needs
EQUIPMENT? All equipment will be provided for both football players and cheerleaders with the exception of their spikes or tennis shoes
