"Gifts In Kind" is the term given to the charitable donation of items of value other than cash. These types of items include things like equipment and tools, building materials, securities, land and other assets. Because of our 501C3 nonprofit status, the IRS accepts the dollar value of these items as a direct deduction against your income. Another benefit of making a Gift In Kind donation is that we can sell an item of value without having to pay taxes. This ultimately increases the net dollar value that you can deduct from your income. It also increases the net dollar amount we are able to keep and use for the support of our programming efforts.
